Live-fire American, downtown

Everything here answers to the fire.

Marrow & Flame is a single wood-fired kitchen built around one idea: char, smoke, and patience make better food than anything else in the room.

The offer

One live fire, a short menu, no shortcuts.

A five-course tasting built around whatever the fire is best at that week — dry-aged beef, whole fish, root vegetables blistered until they taste like something else entirely. No menu overload, no fusion detours. Just fewer dishes, done all the way through.

The room

Built low, close, and warm on purpose.

Eighteen tables, one open hearth, and nowhere in the room more than a few steps from the fire. It's built for a slow night — the kind you plan around, not the kind you fit in.

How the night unfolds

A slower kind of dinner.

Every table moves through the same arc — built to be unhurried, not rushed toward the check.

01

Arrive

Seated within minutes of your window — no holding at the bar unless you want to.

02

First fire

Snacks straight off the hearth while the kitchen reads the table's pace.

03

The tasting

Five courses, paced by us, built around what's best off the fire that night.

04

Linger

No table turns pushed on you. Coffee and the last of the wine, on your clock.

"The best version of 'simple menu, everything's great' I've had this year."

The Ember Register

"Book two weeks out. It's worth planning around."

Coastal & Table

"No detour dishes, no filler courses. Just the fire, done properly."
